On September 24, 2022, at approximately 11:10 am, God's Lake Narrows RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence in the community. Officers attended immediately and located a 29-year-old injured male. He was transported to the Nursing Station and treated for his injuries.
While investigating the assault, officers received a report at approximately 1:45 pm that a second 29-year-old male had been taken to the Nursing Station with stab wounds. The male was transported to Winnipeg hospital in unstable condition.
RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services attended to the community to assist with the investigation.
Investigation determined that a 52-year-old male was responsible for both assaults. He has been arrested for Aggravated Assault x2. He has been released pending a court date. The charges have not been sworn before a court of law as the accused was not remanded, so his name cannot be provided at this time.
